Privacy

This page covers two things: this website (penotto.com), and the Professor Penotto app, a small tool the channel owner uses to manage the Professor Penotto YouTube channel.
This website
penotto.com does not collect personal information. It has no accounts, no forms, no ads, no cookies and no analytics. Fonts and pictures are served from this site itself.
Like every website, the hosting provider (Vercel) receives the technical details a browser sends with a request, such as the IP address, in order to deliver the page. We do not use them to identify visitors.
Links to YouTube take you to YouTube, which has its own privacy policy. The Professor Penotto videos are marked as made for kids.
The Professor Penotto app
When the channel owner connects a Google account, Google shows an app called “Professor Penotto”. It is an internal publishing tool, used only by the owner of the Professor Penotto channel on the owner's own computer. It is not offered to the public and nobody else can sign in to it.
What it does, using the YouTube API Services:
- reads the list of videos on the Professor Penotto channel, including their titles and status;
- writes the title, description, tags, category, language and the made-for-kids setting of videos on that channel;
- uploads a thumbnail image and a subtitle file for videos on that channel;
- uploads the owner's own finished videos to that channel as private videos.
It does not read or store information about viewers, subscribers or any other YouTube or Google user. The only thing it keeps is the access token that lets it reach the owner's channel, in a file on the owner's computer. Nothing is shared with or sold to anyone, and nothing is used for advertising.
Access can be removed at any time on the Google security settings page. Because the tool uses the YouTube API Services, the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply to that use.
